A little tip when servicing

If you happen to be doing anything in the engine bay that requires removal of the beauty cover that covers the washer bottle filler neck, be very careful ! Try your best NOT to disturb the filler neck ! Why ? The filler neck (at least on my car) is a push fit into the washer bottle and appears to be only held in by the screw on the beauty cover. If you accidently knock the filer neck whilst the cover is removed , you stand a good chance of dislodging it from the washer bottle.
If like me you manage this neat trick , you will spend a while removing the wheel arch liner in order to guide the filler neck back onto the washer bottle(which is neatly tucked behind the liner in the wing). Unless of course you are suitably dextrous to be able to put the thing back in blindly from the engine bay. Good luck with that!
