993 Cup Car Fabspeed Carbon Fibre Box.......[;)]

although as this ex-993 owner pays us a flying visit...

anyone got any views on this air box ? does 'any' of it actually work ??

it does look a bit 'open' i.e. at risk of the weather coming through and all over the air filter ?

Strangely enough, I have ! [;)]

Open airboxes are great ! They allow the engine to breathe nice friendly warm air instead of chilly fresh stuff, they don't extract the bad atmosphere from the bell housing like the standard ones do, and they allow you to hear loads of induction noise instead of your dreadful Nokia hifi system ....

And as Joe says, they flow 1000% more and are better than turbo charging ...

But hey, its Christmas ! [:D]
Hell, I'll just stick with the rubbishy OE kit. [;)]

I would not waist your time or money,i tried this mod years ago, lost power on my 993rs,best if your are going to mod, is clip in the 993turbo snorkel, which then sits nicely under the rear spoiler.
Cup cars did not use air filters any way, just a nice big ali trumpet with a metal gauze fitted.
if you require more power and torque, fit a bigger throttle body and live remap. My cup car produced 335bhp,with this mod.
