this may sound stupid but i dont know is there any difference betwwen a early front wing to a later one 69??

just i dont know[&:]

The overall wheelbase of the 911 went from 2211mm (pre 69) to 2268mm in 1969. This caused one change to the front wings.

The wheel arches also got a small flare in 69.

There may be some other changes too.

Steve

The front wing changed in 67 when the front horn grill fixing was changed from 4 screws to 2 and again in 68 (LWB) from the wide horn grill to the narrow grill. The wide grill front wings have backs to the turn signal cutouts, but the LWB wings are " see through" . The LWB (68 on) cars also have a slight flare to the front arch

Hmmm I am not sure about that I stand corrected if I am wrong But I am sure the wings on the 65-73 are the same but it' s the rear wings that changed. And the rear wheel base lenght see I have a 65 and a 69 The wings I sold were for the 65 and the guy used then on a 71. T The wings were for a 69 but they fitted my 65 fine

But yes they did flair out on the arch you need to look at that but if I am wrong I stand corrected but I think I am not.

Miggs sorry mate I forgot to follow up a call I will call him tomorrow I need some stuff myself from the US

your wings will be easy to sort out.

You can see the difference in the flare and the indicator mountings

Yep I agree but the lenght of them are the same still ?

I know about the flaired arch bit. Forgot about the indicator housing.

Cool sorted that then
