A quick question

RC18B 911 turbo

New member
In roughly a year or so I am thinking of getting a 996 carrera or turbo (dependent on price and how much I cash saved) and would like to know if it is possible to get a GT3R or RSR bodykit for either MK1 or MK2 996 carrera?

Blimey, that Prestige car looks amazing! How much would that set you back? You can get the real deal for around £50k (not road legal of course) this bodykit + donor car can't be too far off?

It's pretty neat eh? A bit to fussy for my liking though!

Well an MkII 996 will cost you £22 - 23000 + the body kit at £3800

=An RSR replica for around £26000!

Rodney - don't even think about it - how many splitters do you think you would bust per mile with that front end? [:D] [:D]

Thanks for the info that answers my question and now makes it a tougher choice on deciding what car I should be aiming for now.

The Prestige kit does look really nice and it seems they also do one for a MK1 GT3R as well which looks quite nice. www.prestigebodykits.com/products/prestige-type-porsche-996-gt3-rsr-mk1-front-fender-pair-cf-pic-216.html

I know it's the wrong forum but is it possible to get a decent exhaust for 996 turbo which can make sound as good as or nearly as good as a normally aspirated 996?

I agree with xaftershockx the wheels and tyres alone would set you back over £3,800.

Richard what do you mean there's at least 2 solid inches of ground clearance there! Anyway with the money saved from buying a real one you could pay someone to pick up the fallen splitters as you drive along![:D]
