Hi all,
I tool my S2 out for a drive today to keep the car moving and the battery topped up (She lives outside under a cover). When i got to the end of the road and turned left their was a rotating squeeking scraping sound coming from the off side rear wheel. You can only hear it at slow speed under 10 mph. Would I be right in sayings its probably the wheel bearing?

I can't recall if there's a back plate behind the disc - I guess there is - in which case check that's not been bent and pushed into the disc. I used that to bargain on buying a car once (not knowing at the time the issue) and that's all it was.

Fingers crossed for a quick fix [;)]

I'd look for a small stone stuck between the disc and back plate. They usually make a horrible noise.

Thanks for the ideas. I've had another look this morning and a drive. When I turn left the noise is really bad, though turning right is okay and straight over 10mph the noise disappears. I have a feeling it is going to be a couple of items. Brake pads (Brakes and handbrake pads) need looking at and a worn anti roll bar bush (s). I'm planning to get the car on to a ramp over Christmas to investigate further. Thanks for the input and have a great Christmas.

When I had this on my S2 was down to a broken handbrake shoe retainer spring. When one of the springs snapped the other went literally two weeks later. They are relatively simple to change IMO.
