A solution to the biggest problem with a pre-facelift cab.....

I've always had a bit of problem with the fact that a £75000 convertible has a plastic rear window. However, GAHH in the US have developed a replacement hood with a heated glass rear window for the pre-facelift cabriolet. <Click HERE>

Does anyone know anything about it? I've emailed a couple of UK companies who do a similar one for the Boxster but neither had any plans to do one for a 996.

Jasmine are doing a replacement hood with glass window for the Boxster. I think there was talk of a similar development for the 996. Worth giving them a call to see.

Oops! looks like you may already have done that.

I've been in touch with Jasmine and they have no plans to supply one at the moment. They have a German supplier for their Boxster hoods. Whether or not they're working on a 996 version appears to be a state secret. I've asked the question on Renntech as well so I'll post any info here.

you could try www.bas-international.com - they were the first with the 986 hood, so might be able to help with the 996
