a special moment

I just thought I would share with you all a special moment in the life of my C2S and me.
After 7 years outside under a cover, it did come out occasionally to record 112,000 miles, my pride and joy is at last going into the garage. It took a large skip to clear it after hoarding 30 years of 'stuff' ,but it is now completely empty.
I just cannot get the grin off my face.

Peter,
That is a totally unfair post;now I've got a guilty conscious about clearing my garage which already contains my MGB GT awaiting restoration,a Raleigh metal Willys jeep pedal car under its'3rd restoration for my grandaughter,a grandfather clock awaiting completion and normally one of the Porsches, the other,(which ever is in use)has to stay outside.[8|]

A momentous occasion, of course.

I must admit, though, I am amazed people use their garages for anything but keeping the car (for this, read Porsche) in. Sure, you can get other bits in[8|], but my pride and joy had 1st priority when I moved to my present house and all the cr4p and rubbish I had stored an not used for nearly 25 years, was chucked (even though it's only a single garage). Well done, and make sure your Porsche continues to enjoy it's privilege in the garage[:D]!

...but make sure it continues to get it's regular exercise, too[;)].

Suprised it took you seven years Peter, after I had my car a month I weighed up the numbers. Garage full of £300 worth of trash, £20K worth of car in the drive.

Needless to say garage emptied and the car now inside.

I wish that I could persuade my Dad to do the same to his 'garage': It's about 300 square foot - and full of junk (and a 1953 Citroen Light 15 which has been rotting there for the last 20 years or so - someone PLEASE e-mail me with an offer for this car NOW??!!).
It does smart a bit when, like me, you don't even have a garage and the car has to sit outside under a cover!
Never mind, maybe he (or more likely, I) will get 'round to it at some point!

The trouble with a tidy garage, is everyone else wants to put things in it.

I went to Silverstone yesterday for a local race meeting, when I got back home the area in the garage reserved for the 993 had two bikes, one lawnmower and a scooter in it.

Time to change the locks!

[:)] well done

I have errected a studded wall between the two halves of my garage, and only I have the key to the 3.2's side.

Safe and secure from the kid's and bikes and all the other normal family 'stuff' that fills most garages.
