A very fulfilling day

Finally got around to replacing my original leatherette burgundy pin stripe seats (drivers was showing usual symptoms []) with the equivalent full velour versions (in excellent condition), obtained from someone on here.

So after 2 days of fighting with them I have discovered a few things.

1) There isn't a lot of room to maneuver in a 944
2) Those front seats are heavy (especially when you are trying to line up the mounting holes)
3)Porsche use some bloody strong glue to hold the rear bench in !
4) carry out plenty of back stretching exercises prior to lifting out/lifting in.
5) Have a warm bath with lots of bubbly relaxent stuff on hand for when you finally accomplish the fitting.
6) Get someone to give you a hand (I didn't)

I also managed to obtain a 3 spoke Mountney steering wheel complete with boss of Ebay for very reasonable money and have fitted that as well. (without hitting myself on the forehead [;)] )

So, all in all, a very productive couple of days.

Not sure about the Mountney, a Momo, Mota Lita, Nardi or Club Sport would be a better choice.

Momo is very nice but for £22 inc boss I'm not complaining [;)]

@Rav, unfortunately I didn't take any 'before' pics, and I'm certainly not going to put the damn things back in again just to get some !
