A very sad day for me

Guys
For those of you who didn't know, I moved to Oman on a 3 year international assignment last week on not much more than a weeks notice and I decided that with the state of Blighty and the weather, I would try 3 years of sun and sea and haven't had time to keep up with my mails. Very reluctantly I decided had better try and sell my cars.

The 993 TT not an hour ago, was sold for a good price to a private buyer, 2nd viewer(via Mr Northway) and is on its way back to Germany as we speak. Hopefully the money sitting on deposit, will generate enough capital to purchase a replacement on my return. The back up plan was if it I was only going to get £31/2k I was going to ship it over to Oman at a cost of c£3k. But unfortunately 993TT are being advertised for €49k+ in Germany so the keep coming over and buying up all of the LHD's Porsches.

The good news is in Oman is that Porkers are cheap compared to RIP OFF BRITAIN a 3.2 Boxster £26k, 3.4 Cayman is c£28k, most of the std 911 range is between £39 and £47k, 911T c £65k!!and Cayenne's start from c £26k oh and petrol is a ridiculous 17p a litre!! I will probably have to go 4*4 so that I can take advantage of the local environment, lots of mountains, sand and camping!
Best regards

ps The 944 T is for sale for £6'ish if anyone interested.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Must have been sad saying goodbye. Still fuel at 17p a litre is immoral!! I spent 24hrs in Oman 2 yrs ago when I missed a flight connection, ( thanks to Qatar Airways!) going for a rematch on the 23rd as I am flying to the Maldives...hope it goes better this time!!
Good luck out there......
