If the present owner of A106CPE is reading this, please do get in touch! This car is a 1983 944 that was specially allocated to AFN in Guildford when they were in extemely short supply.

This car was my mother's from new, I bought it in 1991, or thereabouts, and the present owner probably knows what happened later. (If you don't I'll fill you in. Don't worry, it was not too terrible.)

It was the best value car I have ever owned, and I am pleased that it is still around and on the road (I know that from the DVLA website). In the 135k miles from new that I knew the car, it never once needed its oil topped up between services, and that was with a service never missed, many motorway miles and a lot of Autobahn use while in my ownership.

I also have some very early AFN documentation and service history for it. I will pass it on to whoever owns it now if they get in touch.

Send me a message to alistair@tyeurgain.free-online.co.uk and/or leave a message here.
