Bishopbriggs/Kirkintilocch/Kilsyth/Banknock road will be getting busier then [:D]

not a surprise, and I have no objection while there's road works going on......now I'd like to see some evidence that they're fvcking getting on with the roadworks.....everytime I pass there's never a worker there for mile after mile.....

Unlikely that those cameras will be connected together and working, the ones they installed on the M8 near Glasgow airport when the bridge was being upgraded weren't, it was just a visual deterrent.

you're more than likely correct, but I aint taking the chance you're not [;)]

Article in Herald today claims 600 have been caught already in roadworks so I'd suspect thay will be switched

About time Steve got his finger out and caught those bloody speeders on the A80.

The last straw was the Asda lorry that went past me!

Outbraked into the hairpin( before Gungho pipes up). ;O)

Do Specs cameras work at night ? Ask this as the glare from oncoming headlights on your car must make no. plate recognition all but impossible at night.

I would guess they work by infra red at night, though I'd be delighted to be proven wrong!

But will he tell us

We were warned about the permanent patrols so I would hope so [;)]

I read that there's going to be 14 cameras in total, so you could lose your licence before you've even got half way up the road.[]

Hi all to answer a few of the questions

Yes they will be switched on, but really do you want to take the chance despite the postal strike.

They do work and night as they are infrared and during the day they give a nice picture of who is driving.

They dont work with motorbikes as they take the front plate numbers

Dont know if switching lanes works the SCP does not let out all the secrets

sorry for the delay in getting back to you all [:D]

believe that used to be the case because they weren't type-approved across lanes, but that was changed this year...sure I read it on pistonheads or similar....
