ABS issues

So new clutch which is very nice but suddenly my ABS light is on along with the big red exclamation mark!
Its on all the time so reading other threads would suggest this may not be a poor wheel contact and the ABS ecu fails its test.
So I know the ABS sensor is inside the hub but does anyone have a pic of the front and rear hub assembly showing exactly which wires are which?
Something electrical has occured as I have had to replace the fuse for the central locking. For some reason my CL wiring is quite fragile and about once a year (usually after someone's been working on it) I have to do this. Now I'm wondering if the same issue has done for something in the ABS system.
How do I test a relay? the ABS fuse is ok. Someone mentioned the AC relay is the same and since my car is currently sans compressor that relay is spare. Is that correct?
I know the ABS did work as I've used it a couple of times and it would be nice to have it back again.
Failing that I will need to check the ABS ECU.

Hi David,
Start with the easiest test and try swapping the ABS relay. It is in the fusebox and is numbered 928 615 124 01.
On my S2 I removed all the sensors and cleaned everything up without success and then swapped the relay and all was fine, and at least everything was then clean! It's about £60 so try to borrow one from another car. The same part is used on many models other than the 944.
Good luck,
Regards,
