ABS light keeps coming on

I have '89, 2.7 Lux. The ABS light keeps coming on, though I have had it checked at an ABS specialist (sensors and pump) and they all work, as does the ABS when tried out. The light comes on usually after a few minutes of driving. Any clues, it is very frustrating.

...and while we're on the subject...

i have an '83 944 Lux, but don't have the handbook. The seatbelt light keeps on going on and off at random intervals. [>:] Is this a sign of anything important, or is it just a sign your seatbelt light keeps going on and off?

sorry to add a question without answering one, but in the words of manuel, "i know nothing"

I remember an article in 911 and Porsche World running reports a while ago that featured this, it was on an S2 but could be the same thing. After replacing allsorts (including a second hand pump) I think it was down to one of the sensor wires being broken. He replace the wire and the light went off. I'll try to have a look for it tonight incase there was more too it, but I think that was it. Tracking it down to which one might be the hard bit.[:D]

Yes it was Perry's car in running reports I helped him clean the sensors and he tried my ABS computer (drivers footwell RHS in case anyone else is looking for it). Cleaning the sensors helped but it was eventually traced to a broken wire, on the front if I remember correctly, which kind of makes sense as they get more movement than the rear.
