just took my car out for the first time in two weeks and now the abs light is on do you think its just a case of the car being wet as its never come on befor and the abs still works ?

Did it go out after a while?

I seem to remember that some of the warning lights are prone to come on when the battery is low on charge, particularly the ABS light. I may be wrong on this & will stand corrected if so. I think it happened on my car when I collected it after a service when I went to start the car.

I found the same as Colin, a low battery can cause the light to come on. If there is real problem with the ABS the buzzer will sound. Another thing to do is to clean up the lead that goes from the ABS controller to the positive terminal of the battery. Disconnect the negative lead first and then remove the positive leads and give them a good polishing up with sand paper.

I had the buzzer as well as the lights on my C2 - after checking wheel sensor cables, earthing points, ABS power lead from battery etc etc, it turned out to be the main relay in the fuse box.

Process of elimination, I'm afraid! [:)]

thought i would come clean on this one when i could be bothered i looked under the bonnet and hey presto it was just the fuse.
