ABS Wiring discovery

Afternoon all !

I had occasion to remove the front O/S strut to replace the rubber dust cap on the track control end (wagged finger at last years MOT.....)

Anyhow during the removal process I snapped the small brown earth wiring from the strut to the ABS/brake pad sensor wiring 'barrel'.

Having spoken to OPC they quoted me £93 inc VAT for a replacement..... time to fix it !

After much research including detailed scanning of the circuit diagrams and confirmation testing of the ABS system, I'm, pleased to report that despite previous posts I can confirm that these small brown earth are not connected to the ABS system.

They're linked into the brake pad wear sensor system - so for those of you with ABS issues = one less thing to worry about.

BTW if anyone needs a complete intact rear loom for for a Turbo/S2 let me know - found one in the shed !

Yours

Chris
