Acceleration calculator

During my regular motoring sites surfing I came across this website which when inputting BHP, weight of the car and drive type calculates a whole host of performance figures.

http://www.letstorquebhp.com/

The calculator is towards the bottom of the page (http://www.letstorquebhp.com/calculator.asp)

My stats for my modified SC are as follows:

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 285
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1250
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 231.66
0 - 60 (Secs) : 4.90
0 - 100 (Secs) : 11.78
60 - 100 (Secs) : 6.88
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.21
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 105.91
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.11
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 107.13

Bearing in mind that other influences are assumed ie drag, number of gear changes etc then I think the numbers are reasonably accurate.

Bit of fun at the very least!!

Brill!!

My Cup Car:

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 320
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1120
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 290.30
0 - 60 (Secs) : 4.17
0 - 100 (Secs) : 9.80
60 - 100 (Secs) : 5.63
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.45
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 112.69
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.35
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 114.00

Wouldn't accept figures for my motorhome (too heavy) or 4x4 (power-to-weight ratio too low at 61bhp/tonne!!) [;)]

My 911 Club Sport - remarkably, the results are close to the test of Autocar "way back when..."

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 243*
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1120
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 220.45
0 - 60 (Secs) : 5.09
0 - 100 (Secs) : 12.67
60 - 100 (Secs) : 7.58
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.44
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 103.02
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.34
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 104.21

* pre-remap estimate of 3 dyno'd CS's

Not bad. Results seem to agree with the magazines.
Just shows the 996 is too heavy though. If it was 1300kg then the figures would be better.

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 450
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1590
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 287.56
0 - 60 (Secs) : 3.82
0 - 100 (Secs) : 9.16
60 - 100 (Secs) : 5.34
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.37
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 116.20
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.97
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 120.05
