May be of interest to someone looking for running gear for a transplant.

The pre accident value doesn't say much for the industries outlook on current prices. Obviously not been reading the other thread!

CatB - Universal Salvage will need to have seen your licence before allowing you to bid on breakers, when you registered, which you have to.

I was thinking about buying this. But not sure as it'll be a 220 turbo won't it ? If it was a 250 I rould buy it and transplant the bits.

It won't matter if it's a 220 or a 250. With your disdain at turbo power both shall be a low comp n/a 2.5 once the hairdryer is unbolted and binned! [:D]

It's local-ish to me but looked into the licences that 944Man mentioned. Unless you know someone that holds them already it's a complete no go. They offer another option but their middleman company only has a yard in York or Edinburgh.

Lol Stuart.
Was actually considering a hairdryer conversion. Just not a 220. As for licenses etc. not a problem I have a mate in the trade.

But the core engine of a 220 is better than a 250. So depends on how much you intend to swap.

Guess who bought it. 0oooooo

Jeez. []

VIEWING OF THE ENGINE & IT'S VERY CLEAN DONOR CAR IS WELCOME

Well the original car, rolled through a field, and now sitting in a wrecker's yard in the rain, with no feckin' rear hatch, might not have been described as "very clean in the first set of pics!

Really sad, as the interior might have been worth something.

Do we think it's about time the "Steve Strange" ebay user changed his ID? Given that the real Steve's now dead, it seems a bit like a business I'd not want to trust. Just a personal thing, but I'd only buy from someone who used their real name. [8|]

I didn't think there was any difference after 86 ?
