I am going to be visiting the Porsche Museum in July and wondered if anyone has any recommendations regarding accomodation reasonably priced and reasonably near to the Museum?? Any info would be much appreciated.Regards AndyB

The Adler at Asberg ive stayed at which is about 10mins away and they even have a "porsche room"....every little boys dream that one!!!

May depend on your definition of Reasonably Priced though :)

There is a nice little hotel just up the hill (10/15 min walk from the museum) that I have stayed at:
hotel-neuwirtshaus.com

Next to that is a Holiday Inn (if I remember correctly!) which is also ok - stayed there too!

Next to the Museum is an S-Bahn station which will take you in to Stuttgart itself for the inevitable beer or wine festival - there always seems to be one on!
The advantage being you don't have to drive back afterwards...

Don't forget the Museum is in Zuffenhausen - a suburb of Stuttgart.

I am visiting the museum in April and have booked the GOLDEN LEAF - seems very reasonably priced thru www.booking.com...

I usually prefer "Zimmer frei" if i need just night or two in Germany. Every town, village etc have plenty of those.
If you need a place near Zuffenhausen, consider also Ludwigsburg, nice town, marvelous castle there, which should be visited.

Hi,
I stayed here last summer. 5 mins from the factory and an underground car park. Basic business hotel.

5 minutes away and could not recommend this budget hotel highly enough.

There is also a good little cafe behind the hotel.
