Ace Cafe Meet, London 21st March

Hello

Well this is a long trip for me to come down, but as it is now not a wednesday night and a saturday I am almost tempted.

Anyone else up north thinking of going along (Nick [:D])

Sounds like a good evening, any other 44 people going along???

Lee

Hi Peter

What time do most arrive for the evening?
I will only be able to make it for an hour or two as I will also visit
some friends whilst down who live close by.

Hope to catch up with you there

Lee

Hi Lee, I'd recommend you try to get there early if you want to park inside, it starts from 6pm. I like to get there near the start but that will depend upon work and which car I'm able to take.

Park inside???

Excuse my ignorance as I have never been to the Ace Cafe, does that mean in the actual car park outside itself?

If you do park there and need to escape early are you then blocked in[:D]

Will try and get there as close to 6 as possible then

Sorry, I meant inside their carpark [:D] If it gets full then you'll have to find a spot on the road outside, and there's not much room there.

It's probably best to tell the guy at the gate if you're not staying all evening, he should be able to put you somewhere more accessible.

Any Porsche is very welcome Christopher.

'tis in my diary so I hope I can make it. Much depends on Belinda & Peter as I am at Blenheim the following day for the photo shoot so may not see much of my family at the weekend otherwise.

Some idiot decommissioned the rear seats in Beaky so we can't now all go to The Ace in the Porsche. [&:]

Doh! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Simple solution, buy another 944 [;)]

[] Have you any idea, on how many levels, that wouldn't be a good idea. [8|] [:(]

What I should have done is left Beaky as he was when I bought him and then bought a Cayman S now - I certainly wouldn't have been too far off the price of a second hand one.

Typical. I convince myself I really only need one seat and the next few events I need 3.

Yes, but that wouldn't have been half as much fun, now would it [:D]. I bet modifying a Cayman is probably more expensive than a 944 anyway, think about it that way and you've saved money! Probably.

I have been reading with interest about the Autofarm Cayman in the mags. Looks like they're heading in the right direction although I'm now sure quite how they get to £60K on the full spec conversion. Imagine the 944 you could build for that sort of money...

Would love a run down to the Ace,just depends on whether or not i can nip out on Saturday,i reckon it could be busy with all this sunny weather..

Two birds and one stone and all that[:D][:D]

If you are bringing two birds I will have to make more of an effort to be there. [:D]

I was going to reply to that this morning John, but I was too busy chuckling.[:D][:D]

See you there then, you can help me out[;)][;)]
