Ace-Cafe Style Meet - 16 May 2010

To mark our tenth year the Isle of Man region of the Porsche Club Great Britain are hosting an Ace Cafe-style meet on Sunday 16 May 2010. The venue for the gathering is the Grandstand car park. The event is open to all and we are looking to attract as many cars of interest as possible.

The event coincides with the Porsche Club Great Britain Manx Tour, so we should have over 40 cars over from the UK. However, all local car clubs have been invited and there will be an intensive marketing campaign closer to the event.

In order to achieve our goal of attracting an exciting and eclectic mix of vehicles we do need your help. It would be great if you could spread awareness of this event.

In order for us to most effectively plan and organise the event, and make sure everything runs smoothly, it would be very helpful to know how many people and vehicles to expect on the day. The event kicks off from 4pm, which, incidentally, should give you time to watch coverage of the Monaco Grand Prix and make the journey to the Grandstand.

Accordingly, I would kindly ask that anyone interested in coming along make contact. That way we stand the best possible chance of creating a spectacular event. Similarly, please ask any contacts you have to do the same.

Thanks for helping us on this, it is much appreciated.

Please also note we have a select group of people from the trade in attendance.

One of whom will be Tim Bomford from Envy Valeting. Tim is dedicated to providing the highest quality detailing service to the Isle of Man. Although not resident, Tim has made a commitment to service the Isle of Man by making regular visits. This is obviously dependent on getting above a critical volume of work.

Tim's next visit is from 11 May to 21 May. This obviously coincides with our anniversary event and the Manx Tour.

Therefore, please consider supporting Tim in his efforts to provide this service to the Isle of Man by making a booking.

You can visit Tim's website on http://www.envyvaleting.co.uk/.

Tim has also posted locally, see his thread on http://www.xlr8.co.im/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=7332.

Thanks very much.

As a new member can you tell me how I find out more about the Manx Tour? I'd be interested in taking part.

Thanks

Mike

Hi Steve

Thanks for that, I was looking on the www.porscheclubgb.com site under Events and couldn't find any details. Any idea what the situation is if you already live here and want to take part?

I'll have a search for Geoff's contact details and contact him directly

Thanks

Mike

Excellent news, Derek, thanks. And if you are able to get the rest of the Tour to come along that would be great. We really need the support of you guys to make this event a success.

See you tomorrow night!

Regards
Dave
