Actual dimensions of a 987.2

Adam,

The width including the mirrors is 1.952m, but don’t forget that they can be folded (manually).

It’s going to be a tight fit!😲

Jeff

I’m collecting my 987.2 Boxster this week. I’ve rented a garage to store it in. I knew it would be a tight fit, but after visiting it today and putting some padding on the walls, I’ve realised the actual opening is just about 2m wide.

when googling, the dimensions state that the width is 1.8m, does that include the wing mirrors!?

Am I mad to even try?
the internal measurement of the garage is 2.4m wide and 5m length so should be fine I think, if I can actually get it in there! ??

Eeek. Thanks Jeff. It’s so annoying, there’s another couple of foot of the plot so the garage could be made wider and it would be much easier. Humph.

As it is a convertible, do a Starsky and Hutch impression......

Or....

I tried to find the scene in "the wrong trousers" where Wallace gets tipped out his bed down into his breakfast chair and thought you could rent a garage with an "upstairs"!

I'll get my coat!

Bill

There’s not a lot of room in my single garage, and the long door makes entering and - in particular - exiting my Cayman rather challenging! Thankfully I’m slim and can just about squeeze through the gap between the door and B-pillar.😀

It sounds as though you may have to resort to a manual pushing-pulling approach?☹️

Jeff

I've found the facility to open and close the windows via the key in the door lock very useful for exiting the car in a tight garage...

Crikey, how does a 987.2 behave when it’s “excited in a tight garage”?
