Hi I am planning to install Cruise Control as per the Pelican parts book. They state codes are needed to programme the PST-2 or PIWIS. they state codes for the 2.7 and 3.2 engines for a 5 speed gearbox. They do not have the codes for the Tiptronic gearbox. Has anyone installed the cruise control on a Tiptronic 986?

Hi Yes I have done that mod & yes you need to enable the obc or cruise control via software, I have the enthusiast version of the Durametric diagnostics, or you can ask your local Porsche garage!!Good luck[:D]

It is only the Order Code that you MAY need to enter in the DME Vehicle Data. There is no distinction between Manual and Tiptronic, and for a RHD 986S the order code is 986321.

If you are anywhere near me I would be happy to do the coding for you. I have also made some simplified model-specific wiring diagrams. If you would like a copy, drop me an email with the model year of your car.
