A little unrelated Porsche advice please.
Does anyone know of a good adhesive that will bond Plastic velcro to painted bodywork ? The velcro which secures the cover on the back of my pickup has started to come loose.
I think I recall somebody mentioning an adhesive on here before for some reason but have been unable to find it on the search area.

There was talk about Stickaflex or similar, but it's for bonding bodywork to bodywork; things like side skirts. I don't know it would work for something as flexible as Velcro.

I asked a friend about this - he works in training and development at 3M.

He suggested an adhesive tape called 3m VHB (Very High Bond). See link here 3M Tapes & Adhesives

They also make a product called 3M Dual Lock which is a very tough plastic 'velcro type' tape with VHB advesive on the back - it's used in automotive & aviation industries.

3M don't sell direct to the public - but you can buy the products above online from companies like the one below. They'll also be able to suggest the best product if you call and describe what you're trying to do.
