Adjustment of HID lights question

Hi lads,

I recently got the HID4U lights put in by my garage Redline Racing.

I was out in the car the other night and I feel that the beam could safely be lifted slightly. Is it easy to do this or not?

Thanks.

I think it tells you how to manually adjust in the handbook 2 screws per light fitting IIRC 1 for vertical and 1 for horizontal access from inside the boot

Pull the carpet back at the side and you will see a plastic cover, once this has been removed you then have access to the two holes Pete refered to. You will need a long hex/torq tool to reach the adjusters.

Also, if you pop the headlight unit out you will see the two adjusters.

Johnny, I don't think this was deleted on the RS, but have you tried turning the little wheel on the dash ?

Are yes the little wheel I didn't want to be so smart[;)]

Thanks fellas. I dodn't get the manual I don't think, Redline must have kept it.

No carpet to worry about in my car!!!!

I will have a fish around and see what I can do.

Thanks again.

Maurice - The 993 RS doesn't, or at least mine doesn't, have the headlight adjustment wheel on the dash that my old 993 C2 had - the RS has the outline of the rectangular hole that the wheel goes in but it has a blanking plate instead.

Johnny - sounds like time to get the tools out. Don't let this Siberian wind grab your ally bonnet and wack it up into the wiper stalks!

Regards

Nigel
