Has anyone had a 'pimple' on their 997, more specifically the front bumper? The bumper on my MY06 997 C2 had to come off for repainting and fitting a new headlamp (ouch) before Christmas and I didn't notice anything wrong when I picked the car up from the body shop.

Now I see after Zymoling that there's a small pimple (i.e. the opposite of a dent) about the size of a pea. I have been advised that the car must have been nudged or bumped at the front, pushing the bumper in slightly so that it when it returns it has the imprint of something behind. Apparently there's an alloy bar running behind and the bumper is very lightweight plastic. It's irritating but to have the bumper sorted and repainted again seems OTT.

Is the bumper really THAT flimsy? Do I blame the body shop or some unknown clout?
 
There was a "dents and scratches" type van at the OPC East London when I was there earlier this week. The guy was working on the front bumper of a beautiful 997 cab in black, and whatever he was doing, he did it perfectly as I went over to look at the aftermath and it was perfect. You will probably be able to repair it without any trace.
