Advice needed - selling Gen 2 997 Turbo - or not?

Bought my Black 2010 plate Turbo 18 months ago - best thing I ever did! An incredible machine and useable every day.
Moving to the USA for a couple of years, but could be extended. Considering storage or selling....
What do people think depreciation would be over 2 years?
What is the general view, and pros and cons of selling or storing?
if storage, any suggestions in North West?
if sell, best way to do so?

Any comments welcome.

Having just brought a Turbo S I found very few on the market , most cars will always depreciate unless a RS or something rare, however saying that they dropped a good 45% + now if over 3 years old, so settled down especially if you consider a new one is hitting £150k. I personally if only 2 years would store it, if it's a car you feel you would use when you come back. Or as I did when I sold my RS I put the money aside and brought a different more use able Porsche later.
Tough call, good luck

Depreciation after the first big hit is generally between 10 and 15%. Being that it will be in storage I would go bottom end I. E. circa £5k/year depreciation. I would sell and when you come back say in 2 years you will probably be able to by a 2012 car for the same money. Alternatively whilst over there have a good look at the American market as much better value for money.

My tuppence would be that rare cars that may appreciate in value are well worth storing
it's quite expensive a thing to do- properly- my brothers done it twice while abroad- but prob not worth it on a depreciating car
best to sell ,save storage fee and buy a newer car on return

On forecourt £70k ish private £63 to £65k but I usually find hard to sell cars over £30k privately , I have a mate who is a Porsche buyer if interested please pm me

If it's got fpsh and still has opc warranty (1yr min) then 63-65k is a bit on the low i think.
saying that it also depends on the milaege too and other various factors.
Either way its a tough call and i wish you all the best.[:)]

No harm in putting full spec and photos up here with price guide as a first shot
that and piston heads I would say
