Advice needed - thanks

Soon i will be fitting my lovely refurbed wheels and spacers on the rear (15mm bolt on)

The hubs are a bit corroded and diry and i read somewhere that before fitting spacers they should be cleaned.

What should i use to do this and should i be using any sort grease for the wheel nuts?

I usually just clean mine with a wire brush and use a small amount of copperslip on the bolt threads.
