Around a year ago I had a full glass out - strip down, re-spray with a front wing replaced at the same time. I was quoted it would take 3 weeks - it took 6. It has been back 4 times to get the little bits right that for some reason they find difficult to do a thorough job on. The cost of the Respray was 3.5k
I have a re-occuring problem that the garage are advising me to 'live with' rather like a stone chip.
On the NS front wing there is a small blister under the paint. This first appeared 5 months after the re-spray, which they duly took care of, 2 months after that it came back again and I think rather reluctantly they sorted it out. It has come back again and the garage are not prepared to do anything about it.
I asked if this should have been spotted before it was sprayed. I was told that at the time of Spraying any corrosion was not visible and in any case this problem will not get any worse and I should just live with it. After forking out 3.5k last year, you can imagine that I am a little frustrated to say the least.
Is there anyway I can test to see if the wing has 'moisture' in it, or should I strip off the underbody sealent under the effected area and see if it's coming from underneath.
Should I be happy with the response from the Garage?
Should I just 'forget about it' and get a new wing and stop moaning.
your thoughts / comments are much appreciated.
