advice on a trip to the ring

Help please, me and 3 friends are up for a trip to the ring. Neither of the 2 drivers have had much track experience and to be honest we'll most probably just go for a single run round! My mates gote a brand new M3 and i'll go in the C2. It's more about the trip, few beers good food and the driving.

Any advice on were to stay, B&Bs and the track itself would be appreciated.

Cheers Chris.

Hi,

I have stayed at the Kindegarten in the middle of town but there are loads of places to stay, There is meant to be a great hotel in Ardeau, it starts with a S, sorry can't remember it's name.

The first time I went, I went for one lap and did loads, your love it. Remember see a car behind you, doesn't matter if it is a 3 CV, indicate right , pullover and let it by, it is not a place for ego's. Speed will only come with time.

Check the calendar for racing just make sure it is open when you go. Typically open all day Sat and Sun and 5:00 to 7:30 in the evenings Mon- Fri.

One thing to bear in mind is that the worse accidents happen because some one has crashed around a blind corner, and the person coming round the corner is going to fast to avoid the accident. We treat it as a fast road ride/drive (just slightly safer) rather than a track.

So when are you going ? I've not been this year and I am itching to go again.

Not sure when we are going, my friends 60k! including add ons M3 only went into production today! he wants to have the 1200 mile service done b4 we go otherwise no point. I wanted to go 8/08 the ferry is only £74 return! seemed good value.

Like most off us i love my car, it's taken a lot of hard work to afford it! so i'll be taking it very steady infact if it looks to daunting i'll just enjoy the trip!!
A friend mentioned we should stay at Spa on the Saturday night as anyone done this.

Thanks for the help and advice.

Chris.
