Advice on buying 996 tt

Hi Guys

Need a bit of advice, i have been offered a 51 plate 996 tt with 26k on the clock, it is at an official OPC so will come with 12 month warranty, is there anything i should be checking? or will the OPC do any work that is required before handover
Does anybody know of any major issues with these cars, because i could go with a 997 but have always wanted a turbo, but am a bit worried as the car is 9 years old that things might start to go wrong.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Regards

Paul

Your OPC will do a great job on it and it'll look like new.

I have a 2004 996TT. From my experience they're very reliable cars and nothing much goes wrong at that mileage, except that mine needed a new clutch at 28k miles. The new clutch is over £2k.

Guys
Me again but could someone confirm some thing about warranties. If i buy this 51 plate Turbo what warranty will i get from the opc as the way i understand it the opc will only give a Porsche approved warranty on cars up to 9 years old. Also will they do the 111 point check on the car.
Any help would be appreciated.

You can see a copy of the warranty leaflet here: http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=232940

The warranty can be taken out up until the cars 9th birthday, so it covers a car up until it is 10 years old. The 111-point inspection will be done, and any faults rectified, before the warranty can be issued.

Unusual for a 51-plate car to be sold through an OPC. It must be a good one!

Richard,
Thanks for the reply on the warranty, have now read it and feel alot more at ease knowing the 111 point check will be done.
Watch this space i could be the proud owner of a turbo very soon.[:D]
