Advice on buying a Cayenne

Been looking around to buy a 3.2 Cayenne for my wife, just wondered if their are some pit falls that I should be aware of. Would a 19" wheel better for tyre wear than the 20" as 5000 miles tyre wear on a 20" wheel seems outrages. 10,000 to 15,000 miles would seem more reasonable if driven normally.
Does the 3.2 use leaded or super unleaded as I asked the sales exec they said that unleaded is fine on the 3.2 but recommend super unleaded for the turbo.
Servicing seems reasonable for this car, as the dealers quote about 400 pounds for the 12,000 miles service.
Would a Sat nav be a must have for this type of car?
Andy advice would be of help.
Thanks.

If your er' indoors is little too, you may consider the reversing sensors / rear camera. And, if she's really small - side steps!

One of them is truly teeny and cannot get into the X5 without them ... but then again, she is only 4 [;)]

Take care with the V6; my business partner runs an S and was lent a V6 for some time while work was carried out on the S. He was not a happy bunny; he felt that the car was underpowered and that the V6 engine was forever being thrashed just to keep the car going.

Sat Nav will be valuable when it comes to resale, not for money reasons just as you are not marginalising your potential buyers. 18" alloys are not that popular now either.

Savannah interior can be harder to shift as well.

If you watch the market for a while, you will see that some cars do not shift off the forecourts. This should teach you what sells/doesnt. However, some people say you shouldnt buy a car to think about selling it but it is something that should be considered (unless you're minted that is)

18" Turbo alloys are ten a penny (just have a look on ebay) as most people want 19 as a min and 20/22 if possible. Tyre wear I do not know how much of a difference it makes.

I think the engine is fine on the V6. Mine is upto 2k now and has just loosened up. Car is much more spirited to drive in manual and if required PSM turned off.

16mpg round town aint the best in times of high fuel prices but go for it!

If fuel consumption and residuals are an issue then the X5 3.0d Sport and new ML 320 Cdi Sport are the way to go.

Although I prefer the Cayenne interior, the BM and the Merc are much prettier.

Had a 3.0 diesel Sport x5. Really nice car...just 2 many of them. New Merc looks nice but not driven one..yet.
