Hi Bev,

"Advice on changing wheels" I'd recommend using a jack [:D]

It depends what year of car the tele dials came off. Porsche changed the front hub and bearing assembly on the 87 Lux to be consistent with the ABS hub. The earlier hub is much bulkier and the centre wont fit into later wheels without a spacer.

Thanks for your reply i am going to try them on my car on saturday i will let you know how i get on

They will either fit or they won't. I know that sounds facetious, but it isn't; what I mean is they will either be fine or they will be tucked so far under the arches that you will hardly be able to see them.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]As John said that is dependant on whether they are the same side of the 1987 model revisions as your car or not.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Just to let you know that tried the wheels today and needed really big spacers , so going to try and find some from the same age car as mine and hopefully will then be a straight swop , thanks for your comments,

Bev

Hi Bev,

It's James from R24. What have I told you about loosing those cookie cutters!!!! ;-)

For me, a square dash with teledials would not look/feel right.

My advice is to spend upto 50 a rim (x4) and be the proud owner or the four nicest cookie cutters ever. Black centres - machined outers - just like Fuchs. Tasty. Mint wheels & originality maintained. Everyones a winner.

Hope to see you at a meet soon - James.

PS - My baby was sold today - so strange to see it drive off. Gem is all on her own!
