Can any of you kindly chaps tell me how difficult it is to fit new exhaust tips to my Targa and if there are any i should avoid, stupid question from a simple paint sprayer but are they all weld on, i have seen some on Design 911 website in a polished diamond black that i like.

No the tips are not weld on they are bolt on and the bolts often corrode--normal practice is to cut the bolts with an angle grinder and replace them. In terms of what to avoid--the tips for turbo's and S cars are slightly offset--so avoid these for your targa.

I agree with Steve suggest using a Dremmel type device with a few cutoff wheels (you will go through them) you can get into cutting the bolts easier. I have just done the same to my car and it took me about 20mins each. If you damage the clamps they cost about £19.12 each - code P928.111.427.00
They also have a type of metal washer that connects between the exhaust and the tips don't forget it as it does get stuck.
