Advice on keys / locks

Hi all - I have a problem with my MY06 C2S. I left if for a while (two weeks?); when I then tried to open it, the auto battery save feature had kicked in and I had to use the key. Key then into the ignition, no problems. According to the manual, the key should then be synched (my word!) again and the blipper should then work as normal. No such luck - the blipper doesn't work. The blipper battery is fine - and I have changed in as a precaution. My OPC once showed me a long time ago how to sync the key with car, but I cannot remember this procedure. Any advice most welcome; many thanks in advance.

Once you have manually unlocked the driver's door, do no open it. Press the open button on the key fob and all will be back to normal again. Then open the door and start your engine.

Hi - thanks for the reply. I should have said on my original post that I had tried this, both having unlocked the car, withdrawn the key from the lock then trying the blipper and also repeating the same procedure but laving the key in the lock while doing so - neither works, unfortunately. I guess it might be another batter in the blipper, but is does light up when I use it.

The only other suggestion is to put the key in the ignition and then press the blipper. That is what I used to do on my Range Rovers to sync the fob

Hi Duncan. Waking the car up from deep sleep is as Marc described in first post. If indeed you need to re-synch it is done by:
1. Unlock driver's door with key. 2. Open driver's door and insert key into ignition lock within 10secs. 3. With key inserted press and hold button 1 (the lock/unlock) for about 5 secs. Synchronisation should then be complete. Good luck!

Hi - Fantastic, it worked! Thanks very much. I knew there was a way it could be done - now going to write this in the manual!
