Advice on spare set of rims

Having tired of swapping road tyres for track tyres (plus the expense) I'm in the market for a spare set of rims. OE rims are just crazy prices, so, looking at the options, I can pick up an aftermarket set for c£800 - £1000 - these are for a C4S.
Does anyone have any words of warning about what to beware of, or any brands that can be recommended or any that should be avoided?
Thanks

I got a second set of wheels for track-days in the summer. I got Champion RS98s shipped over from the States for less than a set of OE wheels, but that was when £1 was worth $2!

If the new rims are for track use try to get lighter ones as this will improve responsiveness as less mass to accelerate or decelerate. Ensure they meet TUV or similar quality as you don't want them failing.

Pistonheads has a large list of Porsche parts for sale, have a look there too

I had exactly the same dilemma
new non OE or S/H OE

In the end I picked up a set of immaculate carrera classics for a rock botom price from ebay
keep your eyes peeled !
if you dont want the most popular styles, the price tends to plummit

Geoff, thanks for the tip-off ref Jasmine on eBay.

Bought the Carrera set of rims + 4 tyres for just over £1k, an excellent deal. The rims are fitted with Bridgestone RE050s, which I've never seen on a Porsche - I ran them on an RX8 and they were ok - we'll see. With 6mm of tread left, it mean that the Michelin Pilots will be relegated to spares until the Bridgestones get too worn.

No excuse now for a few winter trackdays as there's at least 6mm of tread left on the Toyo trackday tyres!
