Advice on which brake disk and pads for C4

I am about to change the front disks and pads on my 964 C4, could some one give me some advice on the following.

Disk choice Zimmermann or Sebro
Pads Textar or Orginal or alternatives

I use the car for the road and do not do track days.

Avoid Zimmermann disks. The bells rust in no time (unless you paint them) and they have a tendency to warp causing a judder. My BMW has a judder now on the set that were replaced on warranty as the first ones started to judder after 5,000 miles. Someone else I know with a 944 S2 had 2 or 3 pairs on warranty also. If I'd known I was getting Zimm's I'd have specified something else (Brembo in the case of the BMW).

I have heard recently that Sebro might be OEM so they would therefore be the best, but I don't know if that's true. I have a horrible feeling my C4 needs 4 disks, though I'll get a bit more life out of them if I can. I might try Sebro if/when it does or I might just pay the extra for OE Porsche ones.
 
I thought Zimmermans were oem, just that Porsche one had some kind of zinc coating on the bell.
Agree that they rust quickly, but I've done 2 trackdays and about 4k road miles on mine with fairly agressive pads and they are fine.
Cheap as chips from GSF as well.

Zimmermann's are definitely not OE. I know some people who have them and haven't had problems, but I don't see the point in taking the chance when some people have had problems.
 
No problems on my drilled Zimmermans here, I painted the bell and they are still ok.

Road use, I'd use proper Porsche ones, some people rave about the textar ones tho' from places like Euro car parts and GSF.

Track use, I am using Pagid blues at the min. they are the dogs on track, but on the road you can't build up enough heat to get them working properly, so they squeal like the bloke from Deliverance. But when I've finally knackered them I'll try the yellow ebc ones.
Heard some good reports about the ebc greens for road use as well.

I have just swapped my Pagid Blues over for Textars for that reason. It takes 15mins to swap and it save the Blues for next years track days! £140 replacement for Pagids after all!

EBC Greens are crap - I know from experience. I've also heard the same about Reds and I know Yellows are only on probation with some people. For track pads IMO you simply cannot beat Performance Friction (97 compound in my case). They take virtually no heat to make them work superbly, they simply don't fade and the feel and modulation is outstanding. The only downside is dust; lots of it and it's quite aggressive.

For my C4 I just intend to use OE Porsche pads as it's almost exclusively a road car.
 
My car is my daily runner so I was after a fast road pad so I tried EBC red stuff pads and they were pants for brake feel and had no cold bite - verging on dangerous. They stood up OK on the track (i.e. no sign of fading) but still lacked feel. I am now trying EBC yellows as I was recommended them (I had been put off by EBC's altogether so was a bit reluctant but decided to go with the recommendation) and they are much much better and have OEM like cold bite, but they do squeal a bit in stop start traffic. I've not tried them on the track yet though.

I also had Zimmerman drilled disks and as Fen said they rusted after about three months or so. I never had any warping or juddering problems with mine but there are plenty of people on the 944 forum who have reported problems so I'm counting myself lucky. Personally I have decided to stick with OEM disk from now on. I would rather pay an extra £20 or so per disk and only do the job once rather than take a risk with Zimmermans and have problems.
