Took my 3.3 turbo out last night (first time this year) and it was ticking over nicely in the garage, but when out driving the engine was cutting out every time I needed to stop at a junction. when I did restart the engine there was quite a loud electrical humming sound coming from the off-side engine compartment.
A couple of times there was some juddering when I was driving as well.

Could this be electrical/fuel problem

any advice would be welcome

Normally i would suggest checking the DME for this sort of stalling issue i.e.check contacts, give it a tap or two re sticky contact. Interestingly its situated o/s bonnet area hope its not an electrical hum from the fuse box area as that may be a tad dangerous.
