Advice please

pants

New member
Recently got a 997 S in silver with black interior and all the usual goodies. I didn't want to wait so phoned around and amazingly Hatfield OPC were able to find almost immediately. Picked it up in March and has been an absolute treat. Two areas were I would love some advice:

1. I am driving to Sweden next month and wondered whether it is better to take a ferry from Germany to Denmark or to take the longer route and drive all the way through Denmark

2. Last night the wing mirror was scraped in central London, not badly but there it does appear as the paint has been penetrated - any suggestions as to the best way to get this fixed. Take it back to Hatfield or is there a service where there is a good detailer who can repair it?

Many thanks

Nice find pants, I hope your enjoying the car and the experience.

Sadly I've never driven those routes, would liked to of, but never had chance...[:(]

I'd consult chips away before venturing to the OPC, no harm in asking

Not sure on the driving routes but I think a ferry to Denmark and then a drive accross the Oresund bridge to Sweden would be a fun trip!

One of my mates at work damaged the mirror casing on his 987 and talked to Reading. They said the mirror comes in two pieces and managed to find him a second hand one as a quick replacement, which I thought was mighty helpful indeed. The chips away idea sounds good as Gary has pointed out, depends on how big the damage is!
