Hello everyone. Just register myself to Porsche forum.
I'm new to Porsche. I've a past of Lotus, Audi, trackdays, etc.
I'm thinking to buy a 996 turbo cabrio (manual of course), possibly 2004. I've found 3 apparently good ones at Porsche specialists showrooms around London to choose from.
May I ask your advise ? What are the things I should look first? weak points?

Many thanks in advance
Alessandro

Welcome to the forum, someone asked a similar question the other day, and the buyers guide Richard mentions (which is available to all on the FAQ section of this forum) is a great starting point.

After you have done your own inspection based on the guides and are pretty sure you have found the car for you, get an independent pre-purchase inspection (PPI) done by a specialist. If you are looking around London, just find the nearest Porsche specialist nearest the dealer the car is at and book it in. These can be expensive cars to repair and maintain so you need to ensure you are aware of any potential work needed. You can then use this knowledge to negotiate a better price or at least put the money aside to have it done. Forewarned is forearmed [;)]
