Ive come across an aerial that will be able to fit (I hope) above my rear view mirror should i keep the original location or move it so that their is no hole in the panel? as i havent quite made up my mind about it

Roof mounted?

I would go for an original wing mounted one if it were up to me, something about that roof line that should remain un-cluttered ;)

descisions descisions...

If you mean one of those Halfords style 'in car' aerials in the shape of a small helicpotor wing with a booster box at the centre I would suggest for less money you can buy a typical car aerial and instead of cluttering up the wing with it mount it under the dash. Reception will be generally good for up to about 30 miles but if you are a hi-fi nut forget it. For general use it's ok, just tune into different stations as you rove the country, better still use the CD/Cassette if you have one.
