Aerokit

Does anyone have the aerokit fitted on their Boxster. When I ordered my Boxster, I was dissuaded from ordering the aerokit by the dealer. Quite suprising, I thought.
However, I have never actually seen one, not even when I collected my car from the factory.
Am I the only person who quite likes the additional parts?

heres mine

Thanks Dean, for the reply and the picture.
What happens to the retracting spoiler, is it disabled?

yep i dont have one at all! -

i also loose the kink in the boot lid for the normal placed brake light! - but many other people have a plastic blanking plate!

What opinions do people have on the Aerokit? I am considering what to order on my next Boxster and am undecided about the Aerokit.

Don' t forget there are 2 different Aerokits.

The latest (mark 2) has GT3 style sill covers, and a real wing on the boot (rather than a spoiler).

I like the mark 2 aerokit, they seem pretty rare as well.

Don' t forget, you can order the components seperately, I thought that just the Aero side sills would go very well with the standard MY03 front and rear spoilers. Mind you, I have not seen this combination yet, I was not able to order the kit when my car was built.

You have to be a special sort of person to add the cosmetic rear spoiler to a Boxster, but the cars certainly stand out from the crowd.

Excuse me while I don my flame suit

Nic

Dean,
Is the rear boot lid, as well as smoothed, extended to compensate for the loss of electric rear spoiler?

The Boxter does get some criticism for being similar back and front. The rear wing will certainly sort that out.

geri

yep extends right over the back of the car.....

no hints of brake light or rear spoiler.......

makes people look twice as you dont see to many onthe road where i am

I never noticed this until someone on my forum pointed it out to me!!

im happy that i have it - it looks to busy at the back with the brake light slot still there and a pretend rear raising spoiler

my front bumper catches plenty but it is stiff enough to take it - more worried about the stone chips[]

Good to see another car with the kit!!

I have a bit of a yearning for an Aerokit - I love the side sills.

Anyone who hasn't had one fitted: your comments?

Neil I like the purity of the original shape and even when running 911's I never had a Sport for same reason ... I like the rear looking unmolested [;)] but each to his own ... If you search forum Helen Goff had the kit fitted last year to her 2.7 pictures are on here too.
