After an 11 year gap I'm back in a 944

After an 11 year gap since owning my old turbo (F850 JPN..) and 15 years since owning my S2 (H926 VCG) I'm back in a '90 S2.

This time though it isn't my daily driver! I prefer to call it my modern classic. 183k miles, a stack of bills, lots of 'patina' and a small list of jobs.

I've already fixed the boot release switch, new boot struts, new stereo, fixed the heated screen and purchased a new immobilser from Hamilton and Palmer. There's still the usual culprits to sort out: sunroof cogs and adjust, the clock repair and the blower fan only working on 4. So far though I'm quite enjoying being back in one of these.
Sitting low down, really having to press the clutch, that very slightly assisted steering, the sublime cornering round roundabouts. I think I'm going to enjoy this!

Welcome back, looks like you picked the best colour too [;)]

Loved my old black Escort RS2000 and 3.0S Capri, got tired of washing them every couple days though.

I used to have Black 2.0laser capri, loved that car, until I rolled it on a country lane at about 70mph. I was watching the road fly by where the sunroof used to be... I then replaced it with a white one! It was another 10 years before I got my first porsche, a 944lux, in BLACK! Now the turbo in the best colour again...[:)]

Looking good - best colour as well as others have said :)

Always fun trying to turn the car around with that slightly assisted steering - need to get those arms pumped :D

My last 4 weekend cars have been white. 83 2.8 Injection turbo Capri, 86 RS Turbo Escort, 87 Sierra RS Cosworth, 91 944 Turbo. Over 25 years of my motoring history. My last 2 bikes were a black though, a 06 GSX-R1000, and a BMW S1000RR.

Funny as it’s been about the same amount of time since I’ve last owned one, and I’m looking at getting something next year! Good to see some old names on here still!

Welcome back!
They are not building anymore so prices should only go one way - especially as modern cars get more 'detached and sanitised' having said that when the price hits a certain point some will be 'created' from the ashes - its only a 4 cylinder so there will always be pricier models - hasn't stopped 356s from fetching some pretty high prices though.
