After-fit Sports Exhaust

I would like to have a sports exhaust fitted to my car (C2S Gen2 Cab), mostly for the noise.

I have had a price from my local OPC of £2650 inc VAT and fitting for a genuine factory unit.
I have a few questions:

1) does the price inc fitting sound reasonable (I haven't shopped around yet)?
2) is the factory sports exhaust worth having, I.e does it sound good on the C2S?
3) can anyone recommend a good or better alternative to the std unit at around the £2-3k mark including fitting, that would include a switch like the std unit?

Many thanks

Hi Rusell,

Outside your quoted budget, I think, but have a look at this

Beautiful system - Porsche use these people for their high end systems on GT2 etc. Comes with wireless switch control. [;)]

Clive.

Russell, if you decide to go ahead with the Porsche sports system make sure you listen to one before you commit. In my experience the Gen 2 sports exhaust is very quiet and not as good as on a Gen 1 or a 996. In the Gen 2 cars I have driven it is difficult in the car to hear the difference with the switch on or off.
In my opinion not worth £2.65k.

I have it on mine. It's lovely, and whilst not worth the money (I don't believe any exhaust can be worth that much!) it's definitely a decent sounding bit of kit. In terms of volume it's not as loud as a gen1, but in tone when you get past 4K revs it sounds perhaps a tad better. Don't bother with the switch though, just leave it unplugged for the full effect. :)
