You can then run your new pipe through a grommet in the engine firewall and it appears above the accelerator in the footwell. I couldn't find any t-pieces locally so had to get a rubber Y-piece from Porsche like the two we already have on our vacuum pipes 928.573.727.02 for nearly £4 [8D]
I managed to break that little blue valve you can see in the picture so be careful. It's £18 and Porsche couldn't even identify it. JZ Machtech knew what it was and kept them in stock as they get very brittle.

If you decide on one of the Autometer range of gauges, I found the best prices were from www.vwspeedshop.co.uk I paid £39 inc vat for mine with the silver bezel. I really wanted a black bezel one as it looked less ostentatious but they had none in stock and quoted 2-3 weeks from the States. I'm not that patient and the silver one came next day [
Anybody know of a good pillar mount that looks subtle rather than Max Power? Probably for 2 or 3 gauges as I should have an AFR meter in there as well at a minimum, and possibly an oil temp.
BTW I bought a VDO gauge at the Autsport show the year before last. Never out if the box yet, but it matches the dash beautifully (since it's VDO as well...)

Silly me, I never thought of VDO, I've ordered a CAi guage through Demon Tweeks (-1 to + +1.5 bar) it was the most "original equipment" one I could find.
Re: Pillar mount.
Mr Cannell has a ver neat sollution for 3 guages, I don't know if you would consider it Max Power or not though? Isn't a pillar mount a pillar mount at the end of the day.
Again Demon Tweeks do pillar mounts (by Revotec I belive). The show a 1, 2 & 3 guage mounting, although I think I can see what you mean by Max Power for the 3 guage mounting - it does project quite a long way.

The ideal solution would be someone who could remap the in-dash gauge to have a larger range and be more accurate

I'll be ordering my 944.641.248.00 Cubby Hole insert on Monday.
John,
I ordered mine from AFN Guildford in September, nothing yet!
You've been quiet, where have you been?

I haven't got mine yet either. It is quite handy if I order anything though as, because they have an order outstanding, all my records are on account.
