After Mkt Warranty

Hi Guys

I am just about to buy an 05 996 turbo

Has anyone had any experience with any other after market warranty providers like RSJ motor sports or warranty direct which will include wear and tear items as part of any claim. The car has just had a 111 point check and there seem to be some silly things they have pointed out and not sure of they will grant a warranty. The main dealer does not seem all that willing.

Any advice apreciated

I used to have the OPC Warranty for couple of years.
As far as I can see the weak point on mine is the cooling system, I had to replace all the 3 front radiators and they were NOT covered under the extended warranty. My rubber coolant pipe coming from the coolant container/expansion container also burst but NOT covered under warranty. I can still smell the coolant.
If I were you I would get a warranty which covers the very expensive bits, e.g. engine, gearbox, suspension, etc. for a piece of mind for the first year of ownership and until you and your mechanic feel happy with the car.
"Guided-Missile" ownership does not come cheap.... even if the purchase price has now collapsed..... [;)]
