I have seen a few systems advertised in the USA for the aftermarket fitting of tyre pressure monitoring systems. The one that caught my eye was the hella TC-400 system which can be bought for about $200. Obviously the tyres need to come off for the sensors to be fitted. Does anybody have any experience of this type of after market device. I am considreing fitting them to my Carrera's 19" wheels and aslo to my A5's 19" wheels.

Pirelli offered one that used bluetooth to inform either your own mobile phone, or a display mounted down in the centre console - never seen any reports of one in use in the UK though.
Talking to phone would be good - I don't want to add junk to my dash.
Although I'd probably ignore a text if I was driving (then it might be too late...)

I have read of a system that replaces (or clips over) your review mirror and has the tyre pressures displayed in the corner of the mirror, but I'm damned if I can find the web page again.
If you put "wireless tyre (or tire) pressure monitor" into google you get a bunch of options, but as I said, I cannot find this original page that I was reading about.
One system I did find looks OK if you can mount the display unit neatly, and can be seen at the following address http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/orange/tpms.jsp
Cheers
