Aftermarket Warranty Info

I know the subject of aftermarket warranties has been a hot topic so here is my latest experience:

Warranty Wise warranty £1500 for 25 months including wear and tear. 10 months into the policy

Car went in for service and both front radiators leaking (usual leaf problem) plus air con radiators leaking.

Claim for main rads accepted but wanted to fit aftermarket parts. Agreed to pay towards porsche parts but only that amount. paid 675 towards 1100 bill. there was an 100 excess on the policy.

Claim for air con rads rejected as the reason stated on the claim was corrosion as opposed to failure of part. If the wording had been different the claim would have gone through but corrosion is clearly stated as an exclusion.

The weasel words slogan comes into play here as corrosion was actually the reason for the main rads but that wasn't stated on the claim form!

Still they did pay out part of the claim. so only 900 more to claim to make the warranty a viable option!

Thanks for the update Julie. Still haven't found a suitable company to buy my warranty from. Roy

I used Tom Ferguson indie at Low Fell Newcastle.

The rads were £690 for the pair, the air con rads were £300 for the pair.
