Hi guys,
Relative newbie on this particular forum, although have been reading for some time...
I am at the moment new-ish owner of a 911 c4s - and have come accross the age old problem of warranty.
I know that this has been discussed in the past, but having read through various forums, there is no up-to-date debate on this issue and wanted to know if anybody had recent experience with companies such as waranty direct (or wise).
Warranty direct have recently started to cover 911s so they tell me, and they beleive that their cover is MORE COMPREHENSIVE than Porsche official warranty as they also cover wear and tear items (they say such as suspension). They say the only items not covered are consumables (i.e. service items and brakes, clutch, etc.) They also tell me they cover consequential loss, i.e. if an uninsured part causes an insured part to fail, they will cover it.
Naturally I am a little sceptical, based on previous stuff I have read, but they do seem to have changed their approach - or am I just falling into the hole?!??
The cost is £900 per annum, or interest free of £75/month (and can cancel at any stage). Also there is a one-off vehicle inspection at inception, with a cost of £60 (that I would have to pay). Seems a fair enough price...?
Any advice would be really greatly appreciated.
