Will any of you chaps be at the AGM on Sunday?

It's always nice to see a friendly face (especially if you can nudge me if I doze off). I'll be there in LIL - my Baltic Blue Turbo

Me and probably John Sims.

Will it be like a 944 register event ? i.e. is there any combustible wood around ? [:D][:D]

Sorry, strike that - I think the fireworks will be inside rather than outside this time [:(][:(]

I don't stray outside the 944 forum these days. What's the hot topic there'll be handbags about this year?

There's to be a maximum diameter of exhaust pipes allowed on 944's for taste reasons...

Hi Fen

You must be joking.......see Closer ties with Porsche if you want to see "hot topic"
Have fun

No really, after this place nearly came to meltdown last year I don't go outside the 944 forum. I guess I'll have a look though.

Don't forget your pitchfork and flaming torch

And comfy chair, apparently.

How many people are likely to be there, how many chairs are available and what is the capacity of the building from an insurance point of view?

No idea John.
About half as many as say they are going to be I think...

It might be sensible to bring a camping chair if one is available though - last year we did run out.
No idea on the capacity and insurance thing though. But I'd bet were ok.

Look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

Do we have a particular colour scarf to wear so as to demonstrate our allegiences?

I was pondering if a black arm band would be appropriate in recognition of the signing away of our independence.

What is the best time to get there?

Just bring an open mind.

The flag drops at 11:00. Early bird(s) gets the seat(s).

Save a couple for Claire and I?

Deja vu - (this) board looking to be railroading through a decision without consultation or support of the membership. I may as well wait until we know if anything has been signed before I say any more.

I won't be travelling to the AGM though TBH. I don't get enough back from the club to make having to travel miles and give up half my weekend to demand what should be my automatic right to a voice worth staying a member if it comes to the crunch.

Maybe I should just be grateful that at least this year it looks like the discussion has carried on without posts "disappearing".

Tracey & I will definatly be there, can't beat a good bun fight in a confined space, now where did I put those rotten tomatoes. [8|]

.......and also missing out on watching the GP live [8|]........

I see it's confirmed then. Words cannot describe how angry it makes me that something as fundamental as the independence of the club can be sold before all but 6 people get to know anything about it.

Due to a change of plans, I might/should be able to make the AGM tomorrow, and wondered if there was a chance of a lift.

I live in west London, near the M4/M40, and would rather not drive at the moment.
A bit late, but.....
I read my emails often, so a phone number by email would suffice - I don't really want to put mine on here.

Ta in advance.

See you all in the morning [:D]

I've just got in from the workers conference and now have to rush straight out, but don't spend the night night fretting about it because IMHO it really is nothing to worry out. [:)]
