If you are patient like me, ecstasy ! [:)]

All that quality time admiring your new chariot in the garage before monday. I probably would not drive it then either come to think of it. Save it till the following weekend, just to annoy all the impatient people !

The wait was agony but worth it. I had driven the car at Millbrook but forgotten just how quick it is. Wow!!
A big difference to my C2S is that the Turbo feels much more planted at the front end. My C2S always felt twitchy at the front when you pushed hard whereas the Turbo feels rock solid and smoother. The big challenge will be controlling the right foot and keeping the licence intact. Car is very quiet so you dont appreciate how quickly you are going. I will miss my sports exhaust which I used to have on all the time. I would be tempted by a Tubi but I want to track the car so have a noise test problem. I would be interested to know has any forum member:
1. Fitted a Tubi on a 997 Turbo
2. Fitted any alternative wheels onto a Turbo yet

First impressions of the short shift and PCCB's are very favourable. Brakes inspire huge confidence but just encourage you to break later and go faster oh dear!!

Bob, I attended a track day during the festive break and quite a few people commented how good the car sounded on full chat down the finish straight, they asked if I'd changed the pipes (which I haven't) and were surprised.
I've never had a Porsche with sports exhaust so possibly don't know what I'm missing (heard plenty though).
There are a few reports of after market pipes being fitted to US cars that I've read, with differing reports... I will use my car mainly as a GT so will have to find more tunnels for my pleasure [:D].
Seen the GT3 wheels fitted to the Turbo and it does look good, however I had those on my previous turbo so I was looking for a change.

Glad to see I'm not the only one noticing how much better the front end grip is on the Turbo compared to their previous car.
Enjoy it...

As far as problems with the right foot are concerned, I find a wife sat in the passenger seat sorts it our quicker than any electronics :ROFLMAO:
